ROLE: Marketing Director


The Director of Marketing is responsible for overseeing the marketing department and all activities associated with marketing, public relations, and social media contact conducted on behalf of the firm.


General responsibilities include:

  • Oversees firm’s marketing and public relations efforts.
  • Oversees the firm’s website(s) and related postings and updates.
  • Collaborates with Business Development Director and Principals.
  • Implements relevant processes, reporting systems and means of measurement for marketing and public relations activities.
  • Manages corporate marketing staff, as well as regional/ international marketing contacts.
  • Responsible for staff hiring and training.
  • Provides leadership and support to regional offices in regards to marketing, business and public relations.
  • Reports on all department activities to firm leadership.
  • Establishes marketing plan and associated programs and activities to support firm’s strategic plan.
  • Responsible for developing and adhering to annual budget; negotiates contracts as necessary.
  • Represents marketing department and assists in coordination of miscellaneous company-wide support activities.
  • Researches and implements best practices in marketing technology (digital assets, CRM update and maintenance, project data housing, etc.).
  • Oversees department’s implementation of database and technical resources, including company website, Social media outlets and Ajera.

Specific department activities include:

  • Marketing: All collateral material, including advertisements, promotional materials, giveaways, booth production, holiday cards and gifts; sponsorships, award and survey submittals; photography, website and social media, and corporate standards.
  • Conference attendance and participation, special events, memberships, prospective client outreach, opportunities tracking, proposal generation, and market research.
  • Public Relations: Media outreach, media tracking, speaking opportunities, press releases, white papers, and internal communications.


The Director of Marketing will be evaluated based on all of the aforementioned items listed in this job description. Primary performance benchmarks include: quantity and quality of work, reliability, initiative, cultural fit, judgment and job knowledge.
